on a whim?
Saw a nice bright shiny red new(?) boat on the top end of the Macc last week
called "On a Whim"
looked like it was as well!

Slowing down for moored boats, Why should I bother?
You bother because it is courteous and you know that it shows that you are a
boater that cares the enviroment, wild life and the banks etc and not a
boater who has a boat but knows nothing about the boat or boating.
The boats that are not moored properly we all see them, again boaters who
have a a boat may be a whim, but learn nothing of proper boating.
We are seeing an increase in tow path people, they are not boaters in the
same sense, say people on the list, ask these people to set out a springer,
they will look for a peice of coiled metal!
They have bought a boat, they believe they are the dogs droopy bits, they
have no idea of boating and what is involved.
Recently I have shouted at mainly new ownered boats to slow down, because
they have no idea.
Slight rant
