Having started and finished our holiday down and up the GU we went past
moored boats as slow as we could without loosing steerage, no boat that
we passed moved that I noticed.
One guy got on his high horse at Little Venice when I stopped for water
about me travelling to fast but since its wide and deep there, the GPS
said 1.9mph and his boat didn't move he was ignored.

Now having been back on the moorings for a day boats come out of the
lock and just open it up as if there are no boats moored between the
lock and the bridge.

So the question is next time I take Parglena out should I behave like
all the other boats on the GU and not bother to slow down?

On the GU Parglena max speed is about 3mph unless its on the section the
gravel barges use where I can just make 4mph could be fun watching all
the boats coming out to meet us in the middle of the canal :-)

Oh and as we approached West Drayton on Wednesday I had a boater from
TCC demand to come past as we were holding him up as he was behind
schedule, I let him through, advising him that he was breaking the speed
limit ( we were doing 3.9mph at the time ). He obviously wasn't that
much behind as we passed him the next two mornings still in bed and got
here before he did by the best part of 24 hours ( it took us 3 days to
do Brentford to Bourne End so we were not rushing.

Mumble mumble grumble
