I've not had tennis elbow (ie a tendonitis of the inner side of the
joint) but in May I had an oecranol bursitis, which is a soft unsightly
swelling on the outside of the joint. Also known as miner's or
plumber's elbow, because it can be caused by spending time crawling on
your elbows.

I had to have it drained just after Crick, and have avoided a
recurrence by wearing a neoprene support on my elbow when doing heavy
repetitive jobs like polishing lots of brass.

I suspect the same would help with tennis elbow - you can get them in
bigger Boots, or from sports shops, especially those with weight
training stuff.
