Apologies - I neglected to x-post this yesterday: Funerals, by their very nature, are usually very sombre occasions, but until today at Bradwell I'd never heard the assembled throng laugh out loud. Of course, it was all down to one of Mike's own compositions, splendidly acted out by Martin and Eugene. Today was also a time to reflect on a what a talented chap Mike actually was and what a great loss he will be in several ways, not only to Wendy and to his family, but to the waterway movement that he was so devoted to. We have indeed been prematurely deprived of a giant.
