So do we but why let these people get away with it. The next time they play
their little clever games they might hurt someone. Better to let them know this
sort of thing is just not on. And letting them know doesn't hurt my blood
pressure as I'm on Beta blockers - which means you can sound really loud and
still be on tick over relaxing.

It all sounds too competitive - I think, other than where *my* crew had
prepared the lock for *my* boat - I should have just pulled over and let the
stupid gits get on with it. Whatever happened to the peace and quiet of the
waterways? I have not come across people who behave in the way described in
Will's and David's posts, nor people who try to steal others' locks, but
they would not be worth bothering with and they are the losers anyway. We go
boating to have a pleasant, relaxed time, not to get into confrontations
with morons.
