Amen Ann! A true statement based on our experiences on the canals there recently...in a hire boat. Many people "assume" that if you are on a hire boat you have no experience and/or knowledge of canal etiquette, rules, etc. Unfortunately for most of them this can't be changed because of prior bad experiences.
