At the recent BW national users meeting, Vince Moran (BW director) insisted that the Veg Pledge is *not* dead. He also said that BW now considers control of towpath vegetation to be a <shudder> Health & Safety Issue, which means that BW's local crew must treat it as high priority. He said that the annual universal water-to-wall towpath cut is essential, and all local managers have been told that the first one must be completed by next spring. Moreover, I've recently had an email from BW London confirming that it is planning to do just that in this area. Fingers crossed, eh? Adrian Adrian Stott 07956-299966
