This is very good news (he said with all fingers crossed) but my worry is that we shall (perhaps) end up with beautifully mown towpaths which we won't be able to see from the cut because of the reeds at the canal edge. There were many areas that needed dredging attention (not exclusively for water draught reasons) on our trip north from Cannock to Skipton this summer. Roger
