Only 2 years! Where I used to moor, there were many boats that run into double figures! The best one was a 30ft or so Dawncraft with a square license (that's the *old* BW square one, not the current type). It was still there last time I visited (2006), and although the license is now totally unreadable, I *know* it originally said 1981.... But note that the owner never came down to the boat (unless the marina told him the ropes were perished again) in all the time we moored there (1989-2004), so it has been left floating and unattended for a minimum of 17 years and more probably 25 years - what has that cost the owner - well more than the boat is worth, and it's now in a very sorry, neglected state.
