I just received a flier from T-Mobile about web'n'walk, its internet
service through a mobile phone. I found it confusing, so I phoned the
company. It appears from my conversation that the offer has improved.

You can now buy internet access for a maximum of £1/day, paying only
for days you actually use. However, this is limited, in that you are
not allowed to use your phone as a modem for your computer, internet
phone services (e.g. Skype), and some other stuff, and although it is
portrayed as "unlimited" use there is actually a 40 MB/day limit.

However, instead of this, there is another option whereby you can get
internet access for £7.50/month (added to your normal mobile phone
bill), which does include modem use, Skype, etc.

You may already know all this stuff, but to me this seems like an
attractive option for boaters.
