In answer to the vote, Dudley Council said they would still press on with 
canal and associate improvements
Hers hoping ! That's my council tax gone up then ! All in a good cause.

More to the point is that the Sustrans project was the only one
shortlisted that had a broad geographical appeal. The other three could
all be perceived as somewhat local (to a greater or lesser extent)

The Sustrans Connect2 project was always likely to appeal to a wider
cross section of the population (if I were into conspiracy theories I'd
be tempted to suggest it was a fix!)
