Hi Roger,

Sorry for the delay in answering, the Mikuni had a little fault, that I had a
good idea what was wrong, I believed the flame senser needed cleaning and all
would be ok.

One person told me where to look but someone else, who sounded very
knowledgable said take out the glow plug boss and clean out the two holes, so I
tried to get the boss out, succeded but in doing so broke off the diesel pipe.
New boss £41.00 later fit that clean flame sensor but Mikuni still will not
fire up. The MX60 mikuni does not have the two holes in the boss that is the
MX40.

Was going through local rep but after he failed to contact me as we had agreed,
plus his lack of motivation, drive, interest etc went straight to Mikuni in
Southampton, the blokes there have been fantastic, after advice from them took
off the motor realised that two wicks were needed, ordered them two days later
received them (not bad with todays post) fitted and heater fired up after
refitting.Had a worry coming back to the boat tonight, the red failure light
was glowing, the tempreture on the boat was 3deg's. Put a token in the
electricity boax and all is well tempreture is coming up now it is 15deg and
still rising.

thought you'd got that sorted by now. You were pretty confident a while ago.
Waht's happened, or is it a parts supply problem?Roger
