You can, just work out how much your boating will increase!

A rant is no good unless it has substance!

Can people really warrant the frightening figures of £150+ a day for boating
that Beeky worked it would cost him with similar use pattern to this
year?...if you can, then you could easily afford this:

Then come back and have no worries of future boating cost increases and your
boat soon being worthless.

Demand all the salient info from any user group you belong to.
If you don't get it, or at least some assistance from them, resign!
Someone once close to BW and now close to the users thinks that the user
groups response to the way BW is behaving is pathetic! BW are now a stitting
duck what with their head office move, fragmenting of departments to many
offices, low staffing level, staff with little waterways knowledge,
concentrating on property deals and the ticking time bomb of all the
structures they have failed to maintain. It would be easy to tie them up in
knots, with boaters response to mooring and licence debarcle. This could
easily lead to mass ombadsman cases against them and legal challenges.
A certain user group in the past, jumped at occasions like this to assist a
boater on a test case.
BW's inability to now talk constuctively to the users (after pleading with
them for support at start of SOW campaign!) means they are now part of the
problem, along with DEFRA Waterways Unit, Waterways Minister, Treasury and
the PM!
Another way to futher bring BW to its knees are Freedom Of Information
Requests (FOI)
Here is a starter for a FOI request from BW "How many full time BW staff are
left that actually *constuctively* manage the waterways"?...why are the
boaters expected to pay for all the others?
I could sit here and think of hundreds of salinet requests!
My future SIL works for Cabinet Office, the thing they dread are stupid FOI
requests that they have to assemble...we could bombard BW with VERY salient
requests!

*By BW - I mean the current incumbents on the Board, upper manegment and
their political "masters"...if in fact the "masters" are still in control!
