I can't speak to the ski holiday, but I have found that hiring when I do, during September, I get a VERY reasonable rate, less than 200 CAD/day, and I challenge anyone, anywhere, to beat that. Of course, if you want to hire a 10-berth 70-footer in July or August, well, that's another story completely. Anne and I have been very pleased with our three [so far] boating holidays--given the cost of crossing 'The Pond', you have to consider a minimum of two weeks hire to justify the air fare, but some careful planning can take care of that. Of course, it doesn't hurt to have friends and/or relatives that you can visit too! Anne and I would like to take this opportunity to wish one and all a very Happy Christmas [even if it ain't politically correct] and all the best for a Happy and healthy 2008. I'd also like to say that we look forward to seeing some of you next year, but it looks as though a kitchen renovation is going to be in the works, so we may have to skip a year...
