We were listening to our copy of the Narrow Boats LP on the iPod last
night. We bought this record in the 70s, and it was particularly
entertaining to realise how many more of the places referred to were
now known to us.

One thing though: in the song "I'm a hardworking boater" comes the
lines "Meself and the missus has nearly been drowned/Working by night
in the 15 mile pound". He's got "a big load of spelter for Birmigum
bound" so presumably he's on the GU, but we can't think where there's a
15 mile pound on that run.

Can anyone relieve my ignorance?

TIA
