Good old Tone. We used to camp our van near canals but tried find places in
range of his BRMB Saturday Sports show. On that he was great - and some of the
punters as in the famous 'What's Andy Grey's Initials?" "1973 Tone" Then they
stuck the 5 second delay on and it was not half as good. He also did Biking
with Butler.

Hi Ron,

I've found it in the BBC archives - sorry I can't let it out of the
building! But a bit of useful information:

BOATING BUTLER:1:GLOUCESTER TO THE MALVERNS
1st of 6 part series in which irrepressible Brummie Tony BUTLER takes
a highly individual look at life on and alongside the rivers and
canals of the Midlands, travelling by narrowboat with his own skipper
& a dog called Rags.
First Broadcast: 11/08/1988

BOATING BUTLER:2:UPTON-UPON-SEVERN TO STOURPORT

BOATING BUTLER:3:THE STAFFORDSHIRE AND WORCESTERSHIRE CANAL

BOATING BUTLER:4:THE BLACK COUNTRY AND BIRMINGHAM

BOATING BUTLER:5:WARWICKSHIRE AND LEICESTERSHIRE

BOATING BUTLER:6:JOURNEY'S END

Cheers,

Mike

ps. If anyone has loads of money to spend, I do believe it should be
possible to bother the following to get a viewing copy:

pps. BetaMAX was dead long before 1988!
