Have you thought about using "Thinsulate"?
18mm thickness is the cheapest way to buy this material, then double up 
on the thickness. You can also stagger any joints.
18mm is cheapest becasue this is used extensively in the aircraft 
industry. I understand it has the "best" thermal qualities.
My boat has "Sprayfoam" but I would have used "Thinsulate" had I known 
about at the time.
