The last time I recall hearing anything about Frankton lock opening times was about two years ago when we ran a news item reporting that they had been changed to a single opening period from 12.00 to 14.00 every day. We also reported that 'Visitors can now book passages until 10am on the day of travel, by phoning 01606 723800' so that sounds like a good number to ring to check that this info's still up to date. While you're there, please do have a look at the stone retaining wall that I helped to rebuild last year by Redwith Bridge and make sure it hasn't fallen down... Martin L
