We bought a camper van 18 months or so ago (from eBay!), "everything working", ahem, well, let's just say the Paloma water heater leaked like a sieve. We saw the same company advertising and, reasoning that attempting a repair wasn't going to affect the trade-in value, called in mechanic brother-in-law to take a look. Literally 5 minutes to disassemble, 5 minutes artistry with a brazing torch and 5 minutes to reassemble. Still going strong and leak free 18 months later, used often. Fully accept you may not have such easy access to the skills/equipment required though, in which case one of your alternatives may be more suitable. cheers Martyn
