We are on our way to London. Could anyone please tell me if there are suitable moorings for the disabled at Limehouse ,Paddington Basin or Little Venice. I would be grateful for any advice or alternative suggestions. Cheers ,,,,,,,,,,,,,Alan
Hello Alan, The moorings at Paddington are good for disabled....but the transport from here may difficult, if you are in a chair, although there are both trains and buses I don't think the tube has access. Little Venice would be OK if you can get the first mooring but boats are moored 2 and 3 abreast. You might like to consider Kensal Green. If you do go for Paddington you will need to go right around to the main entrance to get into Paddington Station as there are steps down at the mooring end. We have found London to be very disabled un-friendly and visits to any attraction will take a great deal of planning. At the London Eye go to the help desk and you will get free ticket for your carer and fast tracked to the ride. Take your disabled card to get free transport in the City Caroline and John nb Charlotte Rose .....just left Paddington, now in Brentford [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
