That sounds like hard work!
We just bring Parglena into the lock and open ground then gate paddles  in 
any order as quick as possible, The only exception is Denham where I have to 
wait a few seconds to do the gates to avoid a wet front deck. Quite often 
don't even bother with a rope....................................
