For nigh on 20 years our permanant mooring has been at what is
officially termed Grimsbury Wharf, but which is known to all and sundry in
Banbury as 'the Arm'. It is so-called because when they built the Banbury
ring road they re-routed the canal leaving this orignial part of the Oxford
as a cul-de-sac. It lies behind the Citroen garage, under the billowing
chimneys of General Foods. Not the most salubrious of places for your modern
boater inclined towards the conveniences of floating car parks. <plug mode
