Oh dear, what a pity that you didn't ask me first ;-)) You hired the 129 version which handles well compared to the larger 139.....yes, I kid you not!!! Steve and Beth (at Marigny) are well known to us even though we come out of Vermenton with our boat Brunel as he is often seconded to work at Vermenton when it's busy. The Etang at Baye is, indeed, lovely and Chatillon is also a beautiful location if you can dodge the kamikaze learners being taught, for the first time ever, to handle a boat from the hire base there ;-)). We did almost your trip during the last two weeks of June and the first three of July this year except that with the extra time we went right down to Decize. Roger
