I went up the Trent about 10 years ago in the Norman 20 with the 20hp Mariner and it was like that, when the wind was against the tide it was like the video, then you'd come round the corner and it went still. It was great fun in the Norman, up one wave to come crashing down the gap between the waves before passing up the next one. Loved it.
