hello everyone. thanks for the information everyone posted for me regarding the water levels on the trent and soar.
my friends have (thankfuly) decided to stay put and hope nature allows them to continue soon as they have a very tight schedule. The boat is currently at the junction of the Erewash Canal with the Soar and the Trent and a fourth one i can't recall. they will be heading for nottingham and then on to hebden bridge. if anyone can give an idea how long it will take for the waters to ease to a safe level for them to continue or even a safer route? bearing in mind the forthcoming rains predicted this week I would be very gratefull. many thanks lee w on a fairly calm stretch of the kennet.
