Regarding buying boats etc. A couple of times in our yard we have seen boats being sold and no survey being done, on a low price could understand it but one, was a Dutch Barge, the owner after having found a small hole, and another, then repaired them, first by welding and when that failed started to resort to metal plates and nuts and bolts. Then they got the yard to lift and move the boats on the blocks, blocks went through the hull! He decides best time to sell, which he does, the new owners have just found out how bad the boat is? and no there was no survey but the sale price was £20,000.00 How much would you send before having a survey?
