When I asked about the most unlikely of ''off-topics'' namely towelling socks,
I got a fabulous response from various people, for which I was very grateful
[incidentally, I *still* have been unable to source towelling socks, Matalan
assured me that they stock them, I went to two massive branches to find every
type of sock imaginable except towelling in *any* colour--let alone black. On
challenging this with the head buyer, whose letter assured me that they *do*
stock them, I have yet to receive an explanation/reply, three weeks & counting]
& yet my request for any news of ''Albert'' the first boat built by Walker's of
Ricky for the Ovaltine Co. [A. Wander & Co.] has met with as big a blank as
Matalan's head office!
Surely Albert hasn't sunk again?
