Once again I'm afraid I can't offer any actual assistance, but I when I saw the 
subject of your posting I couldn't help thinking that it sounded like the title 
of a monologue as performed by Stanley Holloway:

"There's a famous canal place called Batchworth
That's noted for bridges and locks
And Mr and Mrs Ramsbottom
Went there to get Albert some socks..."
