Too bad Nick Grazebrook didn't know that. During the year I started boating (I was 18), I fell off a narrow boat coming in to moor. I hit my head on the coping, knocking myself out, and then went under the boat. I came to to find I was being pumped out on the towpath, the two other adults on the boat having seen me fall and pulled me out. The first part of this trick is easy when single-handed -- the second is rather less so. Adrian . Adrian Stott 07956-299966
