No, I'm demonstrating that waterways boating clearly is "dangerous" in
a very commonly understood use of the word.

You can do so until you are blue in the mouth, if you wish.  However,
repeating something false does not make it true.

But if you you know of several people who have had similar
experiences, the argument does become stronger.  

However, we are getting away from my original point, which is that
single-handed boating is considerably more hazardous than boating with
a crew, that many people do not realise this, and that it is not a
good thing to make a regular practice of.
