I am also now with Craftinsure - but again have not had a claim yet. I left Mardon (N&G) because I felt a condition for using the tidal Thames was potentially dangerous and then Saga because of the barrage of marketing material despite my making it clear at the start that they were only to contact me about the marine insurance. Craftinsure seems to have an enlightened policy towards getting endorsements for tidal passages (at extra cost)and appeared to understand the locations and ramifications. Sage certainly did not an alleged that I could do the Tidal Severn (I think) without an endorsement but there was no way they would insure me for a trip to the Medway (in both cases I made it clear I would discuss any modifications and stipulations required).
