I isolate where it comes from the cold storage tank, open taps, run
pump and open filter before pump to let air in, that way you get all
the water out of the pump casing. I also drain my calorifier, but then
I can as I have a connection between it and the shower emptying pump, I
just open a valve and pump it out.
