When writing an article on Barnhurst Water reclaimation I was assured 
that the water out the pipes is drinking water quality but seagulls 
crap in it... If you take our local drinking water as a guide the 
stuff out the pipes is definately not distilled water.

Incidentally there is a marked flow on the canal near B8 moorings but 
from there on there are overflows so if the locks are not being 
worked and the water (3 million gallons) is flowing not that much 
would get down to Wheaton.
