Still on the Soar at Leicester hoping for the ice to clear before the
stoppage hits - doesn't look as if it will, so they'll have to go
through the last lock anyhow and then get frozen in :-(

Not much fun being stuck on the towpath with two small children in an
unconverted back cabin and no facilities, let alone anywhere to empty
the Elsan :-(


I'm just hoping some steel-hulled craft will be trying to nip up before
the stoppage in the other direction and do some ice-breaking on the
section below the lock, otherwise the boat is going to end up marooned
out in open country - no shops, no toilets, no museums and galleries.
