Well I didn't get much further today, with the ice even thicker after
another cold day, and a cold, I thought I was getting over, getting
worse I turned the boat around to head back to Northolt. It sounds
easy when written down, but it took over an hour of breaking ice with
a pole, and the boat. Even the bit I had broken the day before was
quite thick again.

Now the day is starting to warm up a bit, and with a coal pair heading
into London from Brentford the ice is nicely clearing up, although the
wind is now getting up making it feel even colder.

Cheers,

Mike
