A boat in which we used to have a share had an override switch on the 
circulating pump so that you could have the pump on even if the Alde boiler was 
not running.

This meant that the rads would get warm (though not hot) by picking up
heat from the calorifier which was heated by the engine.

I have been thinking of trying to do something similar with the
Eberspacher on "Just Heaven".
