And what makes the hydrogen ---- Power stations burning fossil fuel....
Thus instead of one convert of Diesel to Motion we have....
Power Station ---- Convert to Hydrogen --- Convert to Electricity ---
Convert to Motion
I wonder which one is more efficient....
I've lost count of the number of thread on sci.chem and similar about
hydrogen vehicles. At the end of the day the hydrogen is just a system for
power transfer, with all the losses at each stage. Ideally they would like
a nice simple battery which could power a car for hours and be recharged in
10 mins - it doesn't exist, and probably never will... So we get these
indirect systems, and will keep getting them until something goes wrong, I
suspect - it always takes an "incident" to focus the minds (hydrogen is the
*only* pressurized gas that if vented can burst into flames without any
ignition source - just thought I would toss that idea in...)

What short memories people have .... do they not remember the Hindenburg and
the R101?
