Is anyone planning to go to the IWA National Campaign Festival at Kiveton (Chesterfield Canal) over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend? The new(ish) section from Worksop to Kiveton is not to be missed (beautifully kept in delightful rural scenery, doubles and trebles in abundance and it is the area from which the stone was quarried for the Houses of Parliament - and transported by canal). This could present excellent mini-GIG opportunities for northern boaters. And for a bit of a challenge the Trent between Torksey and West Stockwith or Keadby and Stockwith can be quite interesting!
