I can only speak as I found and the TP did OK for us. Your TP, I must admit, 
probably has had more use than ours on a boat which was only used for up to 
three month's holidaying at one time.

The Bosch machine on our French boat was cold fill only so, in that case, there 
is a mandatory requirement for the heater to operate if you want a warm/hot 
wash. I must admit that I haven't needed to buy a washing machine in the last 
three years (since that machine, in fact)but aren't most machines going over to 
cold fill only these days?
