I can only speak as I found and the TP did OK for us. The Bosch machine on our French boat was cold fill only so, in that case, there is a mandatory requirement for the heater to operate if you want a warm/hot wash. I must admit that I haven't needed to buy a washing machine in the last three years (since that machine, in fact)but aren't most machines going over to cold fill only these days? Roger
