I wonder why in discussions like these people always write of 'well known' 
boatyards\builders etc etc. Why not name the names and shame the devil? There's 
no danger of deformation in these situations. Truth, remember, is a defence in 
itself should any offended boatyard get litigious which is anyhow highly 
unlikely. We have the right to free speech. We should exercise it and the list 
would be more valuable for it.

I have some friends who bought a brand new boat from a well known maker a few 
years back. The first month on board revealed a catalogue of unsatisfactory 
problems of which the builder resolved none, even after much correspondence. A 
while later they had to move on to the land due to the problems of ageing and 
sold the boat to a broker. Sympathies for the eventual buyer. 'Caveat Emptor' 
rings more true here than anywhere!
