I have added a brief account of the Johnstown (Co Kilkenny) canal to my site at http://irishwaterwayshistory.com and I have moved my account of a presentation to the shade of Arthur Guinness to this site.
I have found no written account of the Johnstown navigation and no information about one Hely, said to have been part of the local landowning family and to have been an engineer who had the canal excavated. If anyone knows anything useful, I would welcome information. bjg
