A long lost friend, now living abroad, has just contacted me by email.
Whilst I am pleased to hear from him I was surprised that anyone (a
non-member
of this list) could find my email address by searching narrowboats and my
name,
and be lead directly to one of my posts on here.
Out of curiosity I typed my own email address into Google *pages from the
UK*
and got nothing................
But doing the same Google search on *the web* lead directly to one of my
posts
on this list.
Was this a glitch, or is this list less secure than I have always expected?
It has taken a lot of careful effort on my part to get *spam free* and I am
hoping
to remain so.
Any comments from admin or moderators will be welcome.
