Hi Martin, I would personally fit a non-return (in-line)valve which has no water flow resistance, between the water tank supply line and the pump, if there is room to do this.
The reason for this is that the pump pressure switch will then stay under pressure, providing the 'leak' is the water returning to the fresh water tank and no a leak elsewhere. I am not sure that a non-return valve AFTER the pump on the cabin side will be the answer your problem. (Food for thought?)
