We called into Penkridge sani station and the effluent emptying point (I'm trying to be tasteful) has a notice on the wall bearing the BW logo and headed BW Effluent Management.
It reads"This Elsan Point is being monitored as part of our effluent management scheme. A Patrol for Effluent Enforcement (P.E.E.) will be recording your every movement." Underneath in smaller letters it states "As required by the Monitored European Reduction of Dieffluency in the Environment (M.E.R.D.E.) I had to read it a couple of times before it trickled through.
