Alan, I've cruised that entire length in a hire boat and would say there is 
nothing to get particularly worried about - keep your Nichs handy and you'll 
come to no trouble. If you do tie up on the river leading up to Leeds remember 
that the occasional big thing does go past and can make quite a wash so bear 
that in mind when mooring.
