FROM BOB WILLIAMS:

Sadly, I have to report that our JCB 804 has been stolen from the
Tamworth Road site.

The perpetrator{s} broke the internal handle in the toilet cabin to use
the stem as a "key" to release the black shutters, this and the
shutters being abandoned on site. Tracks indicate that the machine was
taken along the site and up through the trees by the A38, probably to
load onto a lorry in the bus stop lay-by away from houses.

The Police have been informed and are investigating.

I am copying this to Mike Palmer with a request that he circulates it
to those attending the training week-end in case someone noticed any
onlookers appearing suspicious which could help the Police with their
enquiries.

Also I include Laurence Hogg who has offered to circulate information
through the CanalScape-BCN website for possible sightings of the
machine or any leads that might be helpful.

Similarly, BCNS.

A regular search on E-Bay will be made in case it is offered there.
