Meant to add:
For those of us who prefer rural to urban mooring (choosing his words
carefully), the south end of the tunnel is usually quiet, but the
north end is quite rowdy. We wouldn't leave a boat there unattended.
If heading down the T&M, there are good rural moorings just above
Church Locks. On the Macc, there's Hall Green (often blocked by
lurkers) or the moorings nearest Little Moreton Hall, just beyond the
Heritage boatyard and Ramsdell Hall at B86.
We'll be heading that way ourselves in mid September, aiming for the
Braidbar Open Day and Owners weekend on 26/27.
