I too have the same problem.
In an emergency I would use the thin cable tie trick.
Seeing as we are about to do some more Ardnacrusha Power Staion "flume" 
boating, I was trying to find someone in the UK that sold this "master belt" 
emergency fan belt, cheaper than Mailspeed.
