A number of canals have got the 'expensive non local plants / linear garden pond' treatment at great cost by BW over the last near 20 years. Closing them would just mean letting the ever expanding foliage growing as soft edging on each side join up - covering the centre channel. (This channel for boats which is already getting more and more shallow due to silt buildup spreading from the expanding roots of the soft edging plants.)

It never ocurred to me that this could ever happen. It can't won't ..... can it, will it? Derek Hutton ____________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _ Be smarter than spam.
