Don't start rumours like that. It's a extra area 3 blade Crowther that seems to 
have bestowed some of the benefits claimed by the other prop. It has also put 
the canal cruising speed much closer to the best specific fuel consumption so I 
now get 1.0something litres per hour.

This is why we are flogging up the Severn, I need to gather fuel consumption 
data to confirm/deny the claims for the prop and also for the Bukh having a 
very good fuel consumption.

The pity of the whole Axiom thing is that they do not seem willing/capable of 
explaining how their prop achieves what they claim and with only a very few 
empirical impressions of what it achieves I am not able to form an opinion on 
the thing other than to be sceptical at present. I do know that if I had spent 
£200 more than I would have done with an acknowledged expert supplier and 
perhaps £300 to £400 more than for an off the shelf job I would be reluctant to 
admit I had been had.
